President's Message

Hello everyone,

We are excited to start another year at BPW Brampton.

I am proud of our club and all that has been accomplished over the years.

We have been known as Brampton’s best kept secret and it may be time to change that.  BPW is an International Organization with a presence in over 100 countries worldwide.  With our sister organizations we do great work!

As a grass root organization, we have worked tirelessly on issues that ultimately effect change to improve the status of women – in so many ways.

  • Advocacy
  • Pay Equity
  • Human Rights
  • Anti-Human Trafficking
  • Gender Equity
  • Employment Equity
  • Leadership Development
  • Domestic Violence Against Women
  • …and More

In 1947 BPW International achieved Consultative Status with the UN to work to improve things for women around the world.

I see this year ahead as a year of focusing on – advocacy, relationships, our local club, and our purpose.

I think it will still be challenging as Covid is still present and a disruption.  But we are up for that challenge, and I know we will succeed.

We have many good things to look forward to and I know I will enjoy the year ahead working with towards common goals aimed at lifting women up.  When women support each other, incredible things happen.

BPW Brampton celebrates our 75th Anniversary this year.  We hope you will consider joining us for this milestone event – and evening of Women Supporting Women.

If our mandate and action resonate with you, please reach out to me.  There are many ways to participate and contribute through membership, advocacy, board participation, speaking opportunities, and friendship.

Please feel free to reach out to me at any time at: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

BPW Brampton Fundraising

Each year BPW Brampton holds two social events, the first is in December, our Christmas Social and the second is in June for our Summer Social. Both events help raise money for groups that we support and for our members to socialize and network with one another. Other events held throughout the year include a Euchre Tournament and Golf Tournament.

2011 Annual Ladies Charity Golf Tournament

The 2011 Annual Ladies Charity Golf Tournament was held June 9, 2011. BPW and non-BPW members were invited to this event.

Event was featured in the August 2011 City Life magazine. Click here to read our programme from the event
